A Continuum of Montessori Education
Sabal Palm Montessori is preparing to offer a continuous Montessori educational experience for children and adolescents ages 3–18. Each program is carefully designed to meet the developmental needs of its age group while encouraging independence, curiosity, responsibility, creativity, and a lifelong love of learning.
Children’s House | Ages 3–6
Children’s House provides a warm, orderly, and carefully prepared environment where young children learn through purposeful activity, movement, exploration, and repetition.
Using hands-on Montessori materials, children develop concentration, coordination, independence, confidence, and a strong academic foundation. The environment includes Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Mathematics, Cultural Studies, Science, Art, Music, Grace and Courtesy, and care for the classroom community.
Children are encouraged to make thoughtful choices, work at their own pace, care for themselves and their surroundings, and experience the joy of meaningful accomplishment.
Lower Elementary | Ages 6–9
Lower Elementary serves children entering a developmental stage marked by imagination, curiosity, collaboration, and a growing desire to understand how the world works.
Through Montessori Cosmic Education, students explore the interconnectedness of people, nature, history, science, mathematics, language, geography, and culture. Engaging stories and hands-on materials inspire students to ask questions, conduct research, solve problems, and make connections across subject areas.
Students receive guidance in organizing their work, managing their time, collaborating respectfully, and taking increasing responsibility for their learning.
Upper Elementary | Ages 9–12
Upper Elementary builds upon the academic foundations, independence, and sense of responsibility developed during the earlier Montessori years.
Students engage in increasingly advanced and interdisciplinary studies in language, literature, mathematics, geometry, science, history, geography, culture, and the arts. Individual and collaborative projects encourage critical thinking, research, discussion, creativity, leadership, and practical application of knowledge.
The program supports students as they develop stronger reasoning skills, greater self-awareness, and a deeper understanding of their responsibilities within the classroom, the community, and the wider world.
Middle School/Erdkinder | Ages 12–18
Our Middle School/Erdkinder program is one integrated Montessori adolescent program serving students ages 12–18. It is designed around the developmental needs of adolescents as they form their identities, discover their strengths, and prepare for meaningful participation in adult life.
The program will combine rigorous academics with practical life experiences, environmental stewardship, entrepreneurship, financial literacy, community engagement, creative expression, and meaningful work connected to the land.
Students will have opportunities to apply academic knowledge through real-world projects, collaborative problem-solving, service, and age-appropriate economic activity. These experiences will help them develop independence, resilience, leadership, responsibility, and a deeper understanding of how their work can contribute to their community.

A Prepared Environment for Every Learner
Across every program, our prepared environments will support purposeful movement, independent choice, hands-on learning, collaboration, and respect for each student’s developmental journey.
Montessori educators will observe each learner carefully, provide lessons at the appropriate time, and guide students toward increasingly challenging work. This balance of freedom and responsibility allows students to progress with both confidence and accountability.
Learning Beyond the Classroom
We believe meaningful education extends beyond textbooks and classroom walls. Nature study, gardening, environmental stewardship, field experiences, community partnerships, service projects, the arts, and practical work will help students connect their learning to the world around them.
